Description: Product introduction Meftal-Forte Tablet is a combination of two medicines. It is used in the treatment of fever. It is also useful for the treatment of mild to moderate pain of various conditions like headache, body ache, and toothache. Meftal-Forte Tablet is to be taken with food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. The dose will depend on what you are taking it for and how well it helps your symptoms. You should take it as advised by your doctor. Do not take more or use it for a longer duration than recommended by the doctor. The most common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, indigestion, loss of appetite, and heartburn. If any of these side effects bother you or get worse, you should speak to your doctor. Your doctor may be able to suggest ways of preventing or reducing the side effects. Breast feeding Status: SAFE IF PRESCRIBED Description: Meftal-Forte Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby. 4. Driving Status: UNSAFE Description: Meftal-Forte Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur. 5. Kidney Status: CAUTION Description: Meftal-Forte Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Meftal-Forte Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Meftal-Forte Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. 6. Liver Status: CAUTION Description: Meftal-Forte Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Meftal-Forte Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. However, the use of Meftal-Forte Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.

However, in some patients it may cause some unwanted common side effects like nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, heartburn, diarrhea and other uncommon and rare side effects. Inform your doctor if you experience any persistent problem due to the medication. Q2: Are there any specific contraindications associated with the use of Meftal-Forte Tablet? A2: The use of Meftal-Forte Tablet is considered to be harmful for patients with known allergy to any of the components or excipients of this medicine or in patients with known allergy to other painkillers (NSAIDs). The use of this medicine should preferably be avoided in patients with a history of stomach ulcer or in patients with active, recurrent stomach ulcer/bleeding. Use of painkillers lower the levels of prostaglandins in the body which leads to kidney damage on long-term use. Use of painkillers is not recommended to patients with underlying kidney disease.
